In the article "Twelve Shot dead by Kenyan Police" in bbc news, I have feelings about this that make me angry and happy at the same time.First, I find it ridicules that the police shot 12 people that they "thought" were members of a gang that has killed over 40 people. It ended up that only three of them were actual members of the gang.Although all of the men were caught committing crime, I do not think that they deserve to be shot on the scene with no trial or questioning. This would be like if you were walking down the street and a cop thought that you were robbing someone, and in turn shot you dead.I feel very strongly about this because I would not feel very good if I did not have the rights that I do today. However, It is good that these police are looking out for the civilians and are doing there best to protect them. But should it be taken to the extreme that every one who is commiting a crime is assumed a gang member?
