In the article "Twelve Shot dead by Kenyan Police" in bbc news, I have feelings about this that make me angry and happy at the same time.First, I find it ridicules that the police shot 12 people that they "thought" were members of a gang that has killed over 40 people. It ended up that only three of them were actual members of the gang.Although all of the men were caught committing crime, I do not think that they deserve to be shot on the scene with no trial or questioning. This would be like if you were walking down the street and a cop thought that you were robbing someone, and in turn shot you dead.I feel very strongly about this because I would not feel very good if I did not have the rights that I do today. However, It is good that these police are looking out for the civilians and are doing there best to protect them. But should it be taken to the extreme that every one who is commiting a crime is assumed a gang member?

Do test scores really matter?

In the article on the fischbowl titled "How much do you value test scores?" the poster explores who finds them valuable and why. Living in Colorado, every year we need to take the csap to evaluate our learnings,But should schools be judged on their test scores? Do you think that people should make decisions about were their kids go to school only on test scores?Would it make you think less of a teacher if her students had lower test scores?

sword scares RTD Bus riders

In this article there is a man who brings a sword onto a rtd bus and is dressed in metal armor. Passengers on the bus called police. It turned out that the man was only going to a video game convention. Should these people have called the police, or should thay have just talked to the man and cleared everything up.If you were in this situation what would you have done? Should these people been as scared as they were?
