Don Vito abuse trail

This trial is about Vincent Margera "Don Vito" who allegedly sexually abused three teenage girls in Colorado mills skate park during an autograph signing. This is on a reality t.v show called viva la bam on mtv. I have seen this show many times and i am not suprised at this happening. This show is very obseen and does not really have any structure. Also, I am affected by this because i am quite often at this skate park and many others that are similar to this one.Knowing this makes me very worried and it also makes me angry that there are actually people like this in the world .

HIstory Classes

In this article in 2 cents worth David writes about history classes. HE says that he could not stand the history classes that he had in high school, but he loves the ones that are in college. He says that he was bored in the classes from high school but he liked that college teachers told good stories and helped him connect to it. this is a similar situation to mine because i hate social studies and i hope that it will be better in college.

Ohio School Shooting

In this article in bbc news a 14 year old boy shoots and wounds 5 people 2 were students and 3 were adults. I am surprised at this article a little bit because it is the first of its kind that i have seen for a while. This article is a huge scare to me for several reasons. First, this scares me because the student had held a grudge from the past, students said that when he got suspended he said that he would be back. this scares me because many students at our school get suspended and they could do the same thing. Next this scares me because there are many kids at our school that were described similarly to this one. Clearly this is a very big issue that concerns students everywhere.

Bush Vetos Bill

In this article in bbc news, Bush vetos a bill for children's health care, The bill would but a higher tax on tobacco and get a proposed 35 million for health care for poor children. This article affects me because it affects me and some of my friends, but most importantly I am angered by this article because it shows that bush was not thinking about the true purpose of the bill, helping the children. If he never thinks or cares about whats best for the kids than that would make him a horrible president.Especially because the vote in the house of representatives was 265- 169. This is the third time that president bush has used his power to veto bills .Witch worries me that he is to cocky or he has something wrong with him that makes him want to disagree.Last, what I think is the worst thing is that he says he will work with democrats to create a compromise of only 5 million, about a sixth of what the original bill stated. If bush does this on every bill he sees America will be settling for something less forever.

Two Steps Forward

In the article Two steps forward... Karl Fisch talks about the possibility of lps high schools having the privilege of letting students bring their personal laptops i phones or any other devise that has wireless connection. A similar thing was supposed to take effect last year but the system was not working properly. This affects me very greatly because if i was allowed to bring my laptop to school i could be much more productive and i would do better in school. Also, this would be good for me because the computers block many cites that i use for education at home and cant at school. with the new rule I can be much more productive with my time at school especially off hours. however i think some students will abuse the privilege and it may become a problem.

In the article "Twelve Shot dead by Kenyan Police" in bbc news, I have feelings about this that make me angry and happy at the same time.First, I find it ridicules that the police shot 12 people that they "thought" were members of a gang that has killed over 40 people. It ended up that only three of them were actual members of the gang.Although all of the men were caught committing crime, I do not think that they deserve to be shot on the scene with no trial or questioning. This would be like if you were walking down the street and a cop thought that you were robbing someone, and in turn shot you dead.I feel very strongly about this because I would not feel very good if I did not have the rights that I do today. However, It is good that these police are looking out for the civilians and are doing there best to protect them. But should it be taken to the extreme that every one who is commiting a crime is assumed a gang member?
